EXPERIENCE
Francisco Muniz is a lawyer registered with both the Portuguese Bar Association and the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB-PE), practicing in both countries in the fields of Civil, Real Estate, International, Civil Procedure, and Arbitration Law. He works primarily in strategic advisory and litigation matters, providing legal support in judicial and arbitral disputes involving rural and urban properties, civil and commercial contracts, civil liability, maritime and port law, consumer claims, and cases related to educational law.

OTHER ACTIVITIES
He is the Director of International Exchange at the Higher School of Advocacy of Pernambuco (appointed for the 2022–2024 and 2025–2027 terms), President of the Agrarian Law Committee of the OAB-PE (2022–present), and was the Academic Director of the Higher School of Advocacy of Pernambuco (appointed for the 2019–2021 term). He is a Founding Member of IBERC – Brazilian Institute for the Study of Civil Liability, former Coordinator of the Law Undergraduate Programs at UNINASSAU and UNINABUCO, and was a tenured professor at the Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE) through a competitive public examination. He has fifteen years of experience in legal practice. He is also a coordinator and professor at the University of Coimbra in the following programs: 1st Advanced Course on Civil Liability, Data Protection and New Technologies (July 2022); Advanced Course on Evidence Law in Civil Liability (July 2023); and Advanced Course on Civil Liability (November 2023).
AWARDS AND RECOGNITION
In June 2025, he was appointed by the Pernambuco Court of Justice, upon nomination by the OAB-PE, to represent the Bar Association on the Interinstitutional Board of the Legal Housing Program of Pernambuco. He serves as an arbitrator on the official list of arbitrators designated by the Presidencies of CAMARB (Brazilian Center for Mediation and Arbitration) and CAMAGRO (Agribusiness Arbitration and Mediation Chamber).
He received a CAPES scholarship during his Master’s in Law and a CNPq scholarship in Scientific Initiation Programs during his Law undergraduate studies. He was also a scholarship holder at the Goethe Institut in Munich, Germany. He is the author of several articles and book chapters published in Brazil and Portugal, and an Associate Member of the Legal Institute of the Faculty of Law of the University of Coimbra.
He was recognized by the British publication Chambers & Partners for his work in Dispute Resolution. He was also named one of the Most Admired Lawyers by Análise Advocacia and recognized by Leaders League in the Dispute Resolution category.
