EXPERIENCE
Larissa is the head of the Intellectual Property, Technology, and Data Protection practice at DA FONTE ADVOGADOS and has over a decade of experience in the field. She has advised major companies in the technology, industrial, and retail sectors on drafting and negotiating national and international contracts involving intellectual property rights and innovation. She has also supported the structuring of highly complex business models involving technology.
In the area of Privacy and Personal Data Protection, she leads compliance and governance projects related to Brazil’s LGPD and the EU’s GDPR, assisting in the development of measures and documentation to ensure regulatory compliance.
Over recent years, Larissa has followed and participated in regulatory discussions in Brasília that contributed to the development of key legal frameworks in the field, including the LGPD itself.
EDUCATION
Law Degree from the Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE), with part of her studies completed at the Université Pierre Mendès-France (Grenoble, France).
Master’s Degree in Intellectual Property and Technology Transfer for Innovation from UFPE/FORTEC.
Currently pursuing a Postgraduate Degree in Digital Law and Data Protection at the Brazilian Institute for Education, Development, and Research (IDP).

OTHER ACTIVITIES
Before fully dedicating herself to the Intellectual Property, Technology, and Data Protection practice, Larissa worked in strategic planning, risk assessment, and litigation management for complex legal disputes. She also provided legal consulting in Civil Law, Real Estate Law, and Intellectual Property Law.
She volunteered in the Cidadhania Human Rights Extension Project at the UFPE Law School and was a member of the Intellectual Property Committee of the Brazilian Bar Association – Pernambuco Chapter (OAB/PE).
AWARDS AND RECOGNITION
In 2021 and 2023, Larissa Cahú was ranked among the Most Admired Lawyers in Brazil in the Análise 500 Mulher special edition in the Digital Law category.
She was also recognized in the national rankings of Análise 500 Advocacia in the 2023/2024 and 2024/2025 editions, promoted by Análise Editorial.
