EXPERIENCE
Mei Ling Huang Sin practices as a lawyer in advisory and strategic consulting, specializing in Contract Law, Corporate Law, and Digital Law. She possesses solid experience gained within the in-house legal departments of large corporations, which has provided her with versatility and a holistic view of various legal themes. This background, combined with working closely with business operations, allows her to understand corporate objectives beyond formal legal aspects.
She works on the drafting, analysis, and management of corporate, commercial, and investment contracts, as well as conducting negotiations, memorandums of understanding (MoUs), and commercial agreements, focusing on risk mitigation and business protection.
She has a cross-disciplinary practice in Real Estate Law due to her experience in real estate development, participating in the drafting and negotiation of real estate contracts, structuring development operations, risk analysis, and monitoring registrations and acts before notary offices and competent bodies.
In the scope of Corporate Law, she acts in corporate operations, including the incorporation and amendment of companies, structuring of hidden partnerships (SCP), drafting of loan agreements (mútuo), and conducting legal due diligence.
In the area of Digital Law, she has experience in adapting companies to the General Data Protection Law (LGPD), serving as a Data Protection Officer (DPO), in addition to managing and registering trademarks with the INPI (National Institute of Industrial Property).
EDUCATION
Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from the Catholic University of Pernambuco (UNICAP).
Postgraduate Degree in Digital Law from Fundação Getúlio Vargas – FGV São Paulo.
OTHER ACTIVITIES
Member of the Compliance and Anti-Corruption Committee of the OAB/PE (Brazilian Bar Association, Pernambuco Chapter). Previously a member of the General Data Protection Law and Information Security committees within a corporate group. Holds certifications in the areas of Corporate Contracts, Real Estate Contracts, Contract Management, and Practical Implementation of the General Data Protection Law (LGPD).
