EXPERIENCE
Mônica Suassuna has over 30 years of legal experience, having initially focused her career on Administrative Law with an emphasis on construction and infrastructure-related matters. Over the course of her professional trajectory, she also gained solid international experience in Corporate Law.
For the past 23 years, she has worked as in-house counsel for a large multinational company in the construction and infrastructure sector. She led the company’s legal department in the North, Northeast, and Central-West regions of Brazil and later abroad in Angola, Panama, and Peru.
EDUCATION
Law Degree from the Federal University of Pernambuco (Faculty of Law of Recife – FDR).
Postgraduate Degree from the Judicial School of Pernambuco (Esmape).

Structuring and execution of large public and private infrastructure projects, particularly in highways, ports, airports, sanitation, and hydroelectric power generation and transmission, including the development of one of Brazil’s first public-private partnership projects.
Structuring of infrastructure project financing.

Legal support to public service concessionaires in the areas of irrigation, highway construction, and maintenance.

Participation in the development and launch of the first company in Angola to produce and commercialize sugar, ethanol, and biomass-based energy.
